Weakness and Need: Our main character, Al Herman is far too innocent and couldn’t fathom any sort of betrayal, especially from his own crew.

Desire: His biggest desire is making a good name for himself back at home and impressing his friends and relatives. Though they already look up to him, this is his first real time to shine and wants to make it count back home.

Opponent: His own crew member, Bane Thorndike has been a friend and coworker of his for nearly a decade before this mission. After landing, Bane goes missing and takes some vital technology from the craft with him. Using the parts, he’s able to generate a time-warp portal which is capable of allowing people to warp directly from Gorp here. Unfortunately, Bane has been masterminding this plan for years, and with such gathered a fairly large size of rogue warriors to fight for him. His plan is to colonize this new utopia, and take it for himself, all the while preventing us from sharing with Gorp that the mission was a success.

Plan: Though Al is shocked and refuses to believe that anyone would purposefully sabotage the mission, the rest of the crew recovers evidence that confirms what they feared. After discovering the plot Bane plans to bring to this new world, they make it their immediate mission to contact Gorp and request assistance. Of course with the ship in pieces and vital parts missing, this proves to be more of a challenge then originally thought.

Battle: After a confrontation is had when Al and his group try and break into Bane’s new barracks, Al and his team discover that Bane may not have the worst intentions after all. He learned of a plot sanctioned by Gorp’s richest and most powerful group of leaders known as ‘Quartz’.

Self Revelation: Bane is actually working for the good of his people, but could not confront the rest of his team as he was afraid they wouldn’t believe him. After gaining undeniable proof that he was right and his friend was trying to do the right thing, he obviously has no choice but to team up and combine forces.
