I’ve really been in a music mode lately as I’ve been prepping to make a music video. I want to do a story involving a traveling musician. He would be a singer of a metal band. The other members of the band are people he grew up with in particular the drummer and him are best friends. The main character (singer) loves music, loves singing and writing music, but he’s doing all this for a different reason. When he was about 17 a series led to him needing to leave his hometown. A promise to his grandfather and a death that he couldn’t prevent. These things made him pick up with his friends who he already had a band with and make the push to leave their homes. The story would continue over the period of 2 years in which the band would hone and fine tune their craft. Putting out a couple albums all the while the singer remembering his promise and the death. Eventually the family of the deceased would show up in LA an confront him in the climax and i’m still working on how to resolve the conflict, not only with the family but within himself.
