Premise:  Richard and Arnie are brothers. Richard owes a lot of money to a family in new york. Arnie like always has to find a way to smooth things over and get his brother out of the family’s targets.

Wish List and Premise List:

Find a way to pay

Smooth things over with the opposing family

Get Richie out of trouble

Possibilities:  Arnie gets dragged into this for either A) He has no choice he’s his brother B) He’s a passive part of Richie’s problems. C) Arnie use to be an ex hitman but has since retired forcing him to come out of retirement.

Story Challenges and Problems: Why does Richard owe the mob money? What are they going to do if they don’t get it IE: kill family. What does Richard have to do so that his brother doesn’t essentially die.

Designing Principle:  I want to make sure that everyone in the story understands that family will always be family and no matter what as long as family never crosses you, you help them out at your worst. I dont want to say that this story is going to have a specific moral, but at the same time I want the audience to feel it.

Best Character: I want Arnie to be the hero, Richard is the dumb brother who always gets into trouble. Arnie always has to save him.

Basic Action: Arnie’s methods of getting his brother out of trouble may be a little – upsetting to the mob. Arnie, bringing himself into this might stir up a lot of old problems in his forgotten past.

Character Change:  Right from the start Arnie has a little cold feet about how he will help his brother. Once he starts using his old skills and doing what he use to love to do most, his confidence and moral will strengthen throughout the story.

Moral Choice:  The moral choice is the story, help your brother who owes money. Arnie is an ex-hitman, there aren’t many moral choices in that field of choice.

Audience Appeal:  Everyone likes a good mob story in the heart of new york. I think this will probably appeal to most audiences
