Premise: A young barbarian boy is the first of his clan to suggest leaving the sheltered, mountain-top cave that has always kept his people safe.
Wish List:
Premise List:
Possibilities: You could contrast humanities Manifest Destiny complex with our natural desire for safety, shelter and survival.
Story Challenges and Problems: What spurs the protagonist to make these decisions? If the clan is doing well (maybe they’re not), why ever leave? Does the protagonist leave willingly?
Designing Principle: Force a young, eager boy into an unknown world and continually prove him wrong and incompetent. However, eventually allow him to prosper through the experience and knowledge he gains.
Best Character: (Protagonist?)
Basic Action: Young idealist is evolved by an unknown world.
Character Change: The protagonist goes from taking his home for granted to appreciating what he had.
Moral Choice: Do I admit defeat and return home, or endure a harsh reality in hopes of bettering myself?
Audience Appeal: I feel a wide audience would relate to the story.
