The inventor is standing on a ridge on the edge of a giant forest he reminisces about the tragic event of losing his son. Shedding a tear, the Inventor realizes he could use something to care for. This inventor has invented almost everything in the common world, from appliances to automobiles. He sets off into the woods to enjoy nature and comes across a strange glowing piece of metal. He then decides to work on building a robot kid and has the piece of metal tucked away somewhere when suddenly, he has an idea…

Why robot? does it need to be a complex creature–consider Flatland, which is the story of a point, line and sphere–trying to communicate across dimensions, but none understands the others (except on their own terms). Small figures can also tell a simple yet profound story–like just how hard it is to see other ‘s point of view if you’re in a different “plane”.
